Refund Options

With PRO-TAX’s Refund and Loan Options, Electronic Refund Check (ERC) or Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL)*, you now have more ways to receive your money than ever before!

Interested in a Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL)*? You may not know this but this year only a select few tax firms in America are able to offer Refund Anticipation Loans (RAL)*. Because of PRO-TAX outstanding track record of quality services to its clients, we are one of those select firms. If you need some money quickly, there is no one in the country able to get you a RAL* faster than PRO-TAX.

If you don’t mind waiting several weeks for your refund and paying your PRO-TAX fees up-front, you can receive your money directly from the IRS. 

Visit your local PRO-TAX office to discuss which of the following options is right for you:

• Electronic Refund Check (ERC)* – Your refund is typically ready in 7-13 days.  You will pick up the check at your local PRO-TAX office.  All fees are deducted from the check, so no payment is required at the time of service.
• Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL)* – You may be eligible to receive a Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL)* within 24 hours.  In some instances, you might be able to get your refund loan the same day.  
• You may receive either of the above options by check, direct deposit or conveniently loaded to a debit card you receive when you check out.  With the debit card option, there is no need for multiple trips back to PRO-TAX to pick up checks and there are no check cashing fees.
• State Electronic Refund Check (SERC)* – You can also get your state refund using our SERC option.  SERC’s are available for all states offering electronic filing, and there is no additional charge if you choose a RAL* or ERC* for your Federal Refund.
• IRS Direct Deposit – If you don’t need an ERC* or RAL* and you have a bank account, we can electronically file your tax return and have the refund direct deposited into your checking account.  Typically with this option, it takes about two to three weeks for you to receive the deposit. 
• IRS Check – If you don’t need an ERC* or RAL* and do not have a bank account, we can electronically file your tax return and have the IRS send you a check in the mail.  Using this option, it typically takes about four to six weeks for you to receive your money.

^*A Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL) is a loan secured by your tax refund and is offered by Republic Bank & Trust Company to qualifying applicants, and is available to Electronic Refund Check or Deposit (ERC or ERD) customers. If approved for a RAL, a Finance Charge and Credit Investigation Fee will apply. RAL proceeds are available within 24 hours of IRS acceptance. A Tax Refund Administration Fee and other fees may apply for the ERC or ERD, and will be deducted from the customer’s tax refund. Visit your tax preparer to learn about all filing and product options, including obtaining your refund without a loan and at no additional cost.
